Even in the heat of battle, the chosen of the Maidens cannot neglect subtlety, lest their presence be remembered by those around them and their schemes come undone. But in this their own animas – shining as they do with an unmistakable power – can sometimes prove their undoing. With great care however, they may coerce the weave of fate such that ostentatious displays of power may be delayed until a more auspicious moment can be set aside for them.

When a Sidereal activates this charm, until his DV refreshes, his expenditures of peripheral and overdrive motes do not cause his anima banner to increase. When he releases his commitment to this charm however, his anima banner automatically elevates to the next category from its state at the time the commitment is released. A Vizier may maintain any number of commitments to this charm, and releases his commitments to each instance of the charm individually.

Design Commentary

The idea here is to allow the Sidereal to put off his anima flare until a safer time, at the cost of steadily locking up more and more of his mote pool as he goes. If he’s careful and has time, he can then bleed off one or two commitments per scene without being noticed once the action is over. The ability requirement is low, as this is intended to a common tool for managing resplendent destinies.
